Hello, everyone! Tennessee Jed here. Big news! Acoustica is now officially in production, and should be available in about 10 to 15 days!! I want to give big thanks to Kevin James and Lu Esposito, for their photography and graphic design skills, respectively. The CD art looks amazing! Kevin has posted a bunch of shots from the Acoustica photo shoot with the stunning Christine Jones as "Molly." Check them out at www.kmjames.org. We've also added several shows in Cary as well as a spot at the South Mountain Acoustic Revival Theater's May Fest outside of South Mountain State Park. Other website changes are being implemented as well, including new pics, songs, and a lyrics page. The new merchandise should also be available soon. Check back for more details regarding the upcoming CD release party over the next week... We look forward to seeing you at the shows. jed

We have big updates this time around, folks. For starters, Jed has added Raleigh’s Farmhouse to the schedule for this Saturday night, February 10. For those unfamiliar, The Farmhouse is one of the most active clubs around NCSU and Jed’s shows are received extremely well there. As with recent performances, this show will focus heavily on original material, which brings me to the next piece of big news. The debut CD, Acoustica, is officially complete and believe me when I tell you that it sounds amazing. The master is finished and will soon be ready to be shipped off for manufacturing. The details will be worked out over the next few weeks, and the release date should be coming up in late February or early March. That date will be accompanied by a full Tennessee Jed CD release party. Details on this will be posted as more details are confirmed. If you simply cannot wait, there is a way for you to obtain an unofficial, pre-release copy of the disc. We will be giving away five copies to five lucky winners at The Farmhouse this weekend. You can buy a raffle ticket at the show for a dollar and you will receive a free Tennessee Jed postcard with your raffle purchase. This contest was a massive success last weekend at Connolly’s, so be sure to enter this time around. Finally, we will be upgrading our merchandise section in the next two weeks or so. In addition to the already available tees and stickers, there will be women’s tees and possibly hats on the shelves. These will be available at shows as well as on the website. That’s about it for now, though, more news will be posted as it comes up. Remember, you can sign up for the mailing list at shows and on the website to receive the Tennessee Jed newsletter. Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you all Saturday night.

Tennessee Jed just finished another week in the studio, recording, mixing, and mastering Acoustica. This week, Andy Thorn, formerly of Larry Keel and Natural Bridge and currently playing with Big Fat Gap, recorded banjo tracks for a couple of the bluegrass tunes. We also brought Robert Sledge back in, this time on the acoustic guitar, to play a little lead on Hate to See You Leave. Finished versions of several tracks can now be heard on various pages of the website. He'll be back in the studio again next week for a few more days to put the finishing touches on everything. Then it's off to the manufacturer to be duplicated! There have been talks with several booking agents, so expect to see a lot more shows popping up on the schedule soon.
We are playing with a few features on the site before the full migration. There is currently an intro page that features a pretty sweet clip from the original Tennessee Jed radio show. We have changed the front page to the News page, and added a News Archive page to save space. The newly mastered songs are featured on many of the pages now. Shirts and stickers are available on the Merchandise page. Head on over there and take a look around. Right now, it's in a bit of a beta stage, so the changes may not be permanent. Leave us a message on the message board and please spread the word.

Big news on the Tennessee Jed front, as the new merchandise has finally arrived. There is a store page up on the website now ready for viewing and ordering. We have all sizes of full cotton T shirts and vinyl stickers available. For a limited time, online shirt orders will come with a free sticker. Prices are listed on the Store page, and shipping is set at $3.00 for shirts and $1.00 for stickers. We will continue to load down the store with more paraphernalia as time goes on. On top of CDs, we also would like to add keychains, bottle openers, and even cigarette lighters in the very near future. These items will also be available at shows. The debut of the Tennessee Jed merchandise table will be Monday, January 8 at The Library in Chapel Hill. This will also be a performance with the majority of the focus on original material, so be sure to make it out. Electrica is still a concept in progress, but the new material is flowing fast and we do hope to have both discs ready for distribution at around the same time. Also, the Message Board has been revamped to host only one forum. We decided that this would cut down on endless clicking and confusion. Check out the new format and feel free to leave a message. New links have been added to the Links page as well. We hope to see you guys on Monday night, have a great weekend.

Welcome to 2007. We begin the new year with big plans, starting with new music on the Music page of this site. The $0.99 price for the Wayward Pilgrim download has been pulled and the song is now free of charge. We also added What Some Say, another song from the upcoming Acoustica release. Work has begun on the Acoustica companion EP entitled Electrica. This idea sprang to life upon the completion of Anything But Broken, which can also be downloaded on the Music page. If all goes as planned, Electrica will be released at the same time as Acoustica, acting as the dark, yet classy companion to the full album. We hope to offer both discs as a package deal as well as individually. When these discs are ready for distribution, they will be available on this website for order and for slightly cheaper downloads. A Links page has been added and will continue to grow. The Merchandise page should be up very soon, although, we do not yet have an exact ETA. Be sure to make your way to The Library in Chapel Hill on January 8 for Jed's set which begins at 9:30. This time slot will allow the performing of original material. Keep your eyes on this site as updates are flying in quite frequently these days. Enjoy the new music and happy 2007.

Happy New Year's weekend. There have been several new events added to the schedule page, including the final two sessions in the studio to put the finishing touches on Acoustica. There are upcoming shows at The Library in Chapel Hill, Connolly's Irish Pub in Cary, and the always entertaining Varina Sports Bar in Fuquay Varina. Check the schedule page for dates and times. There is a minor delay in the delivery of the merchandise, but we should have shirts and stickers available on this site by next weekend and we should definitely have merchandise available at the next performance. Please have a safe and happy New Year's Eve and a superb 2007.
